SUMMARY

 

The new edition of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition has started! 
Below you will find recommendations, a brief – not exhaustive – summary, the main milestones and the Competition’s full regulations in several languages.

WHO CAN APPLY? 
The competition is open to adults, according to the prevailing regulations of their participating Country/Region, born after 20.02.1994 that have worked full-time for at least one year in one or more restaurants/catering companies as ‘commis’, ‘chef de cuisine’, ‘chef de partie’, or ‘sous chef’. (they do not need to have worked for 1 year in the same restaurant and they need to be currently employed) 

  

 
COMPETITION PHASES 

There are four Competition phases: 

  1. Online Registration (Phase 1): from 9am (GMT+1) on 21/02/2024 to 6pm (GMT+1) on 19/06/2024

  1. Definition of the Regional Shortlist (Phase 2): 19/06/2024 – 22/07/2024. 

  1. Identification (and notification) of the participants selected for the Regional Shortlist: starting from 22/07/2024. 

  1. Regional Finals (Phase 3): the selection of the Regional Finalists shall take place between 09/09/2024 and 31/01/2025. 

  1. The Grand Finale (Phase 4) with the assignment of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Award 2024-25 is currently scheduled by November 2025 in Milan. However, the date and location of the event could vary in such cases any change will be announced on the Academy website and the participants will be informed directly. 

  

REGIONS 
For the purposes of S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition 2024-25, the globe has been split into 15 Regions, including 50 key countries that have to be represented. 
The Region for which an applicant shall compete is determined by where the restaurant he/she is currently working is located.

Considering the current international context and the limitations to the possibility of interactions that underlie the competition, Sanpellegrino therefore acknowledges the impossibility of having Russia participating in the 2024-25 edition of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Competition. 

  

 
OFFICIAL COMPETITION LANGUAGE 
The official language of the competition is English, so candidates must be able to express themselves in spoken and written English. 

 
However, in order to facilitate and speed up the registration process, candidates may apply in any of the following languages: English, Chinese Mandarin, Spanish, French, German or Italian
Applications in languages other than those listed above will not be considered. 

Moreover, to guarantee a better understanding of the regulations, aside from the languages listed above, the regulations will also be available in Japanese, and Portuguese and Russian.
