#50BestTalks at The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017

Some of the world’s top chefs gathered in Sydney and Melbourne to share their secrets for #50BestTalks sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.

A selection of the world’s top chefs gathered together in Sydney and Melbourne for two evenings of lively debate and discussion as part of #50BestTalks sponsored by S.Pellegrino® and Acqua Panna® ahead of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017.

#50BestTalks was an opportunity for food lovers to get a rare insight into the world’s best restaurants and hear from leading chefs on what drives them and gives them that extra edge.

On Saturday 1 April #50BestTalks Sydney, which took place at the city’s iconic Opera House in front of an eager audience of around 2500, featured Massimo Bottura, Dominique Crenn, Peter Gilmore and Brett Graham.

Themes ranged from mentorship to how to find your own style, to sustainability and how to transform ingredients. S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016 winner, Mitch Lienhard was in the crowd and took the opportunity to tell his inspirational story both of creating his winning dish and working with his mentor, Dominique Crenn. On Monday 3 April a crowd of around 2,000 people packed into at Margaret Court Arena to watch #50BestTalks Melbourne with Grant Achatz, Daniel Humm, Will Guidara, Gaggan Anand and Jordi Roca.

The talks touched on a number of different themes but as the S.Pellegrino Young Chef winners Mitch Lienhard and Mark Moriarty were in the crowd, there was a strong focus on the theme of mentorship. Read more about #50BestTalks Melbourne on FineDiningLovers.com.
